This is just a quick update from Europa Aircraft to advise you about the changes that are currently taking place at the head office in Kirbymoorside. The facility at Kirbymoorside is currently under-going a major refurbishment, which may cause some disruption to the usual service, so we ask you to bear with us during this period. This investment into the company is vital in the future progression of the company in the ability to diversify the product range and offer more great products to a wider market.
Many of you have contacted us about the certified Europa, and enquiries for the Swift Aircraft have been extremely high, so this is a great step forward in offering a wide variety of planes to you, fulfilling your every requirement.
Our plans to certify the touring Europa to CS-VLA and the Motorglider to CS-22 remain unchanged, together with a new certified to CS-23 aerobatic aircraft. And again, once the refurbishment is complete, we will be able to provide you with more details about the development of these.
In the latter part of last year, the Motorglider wing test satisfied the LAA and the whole family of NG control surfaces were approved following the final flight test. We also initiated a redesign of the cowling that will improve both aesthetics and performance of the aircraft – this has been slightly delayed due to the refurbishment of the facility, but more details will follow in the near future.
We were also delighted to take orders for three new kits in December 2009 and look forward to many more as our range continues to diversify.
We will be exhibiting at a number of air shows in 2010– Sun N Fun, Aero Expo and the Sywell Revival Rally are in the initial plans - we hope to see as many of you there as possible.
For the duration of these events we will be have a special show offer on new Europa kits and other items, so come visit our stand to see how we can help you get into the air!
